I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
